About Dr. Mahmoud Labib
Mahmoud received his Ph.D from Lund University in Sweden in 2009 under the guidance of Prof. Bo Mattiasson.
He subsequently moved to Canada and undertook postdoctoral studies at Western University. In 2011, he commenced further postdoctoral studies at the University of Ottawa. In 2014, he joined the group of Prof. Shana Kelley at the University of Toronto as a Research Associate before being promoted to Senior Research Associate. In 2021, he joined the Department of Chemistry at Northwestern University as a Research Assistant Professor with Prof. Shana Kelley. His current research is focused on tumor cell analysis and ultrasensitive biomolecular detection.
