About Dr. Jagotamoy Das

Dr. Jagotamoy Das is a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Northwestern University.

Before, he had been working with Prof. Kelley as a Senior Research Associate in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto, Canada since 2012. He was also an Assistant Professor at the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh. Dr. Das earned his Ph.D. from Pusan National University in South Korea in 2009. After that he performed post-doctoral research in the Kelley Laboratory at the University of Toronto. His research focuses on the development of ultrasensitive and reagentless electrochemical detectors for biomolecular analytes and pathogens. He has published his research work in several high impact journals, including Nature Chemistry (3), Nature Communications (2), Journal of the American Chemical Society (4), Angewandte Chemie (3), ACS Nano (2), Nano Letters (3), ACS Sensors, Analytical Chemistry (3), and Chemical Communications (2) and so on. Moreover, he is an inventor of 10 patents (issued and in process). He is an editorial board member of the section “Biosensors” of the journal “Chemosensors”, and an advisor of Bangladesh Nano Society.
